Good Faith Estimate
Effective Date: August 10, 2026
Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate
Under federal law, healthcare providers are required to provide individuals who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance with an estimate of the expected cost of healthcare services.
If you are uninsured or do not plan to use insurance to pay for your services, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your care.
You may also request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be able to dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or photograph of your Good Faith Estimate.
